The Print Circle meets every three months, most often in the late afternoon and always mid-week. At these meetings we discuss the progress of current exhibitions, applications for exhibition venues, suggestions for new venues and exhibition themes. We also discuss membership and whether or not we should be considering new members.
The following list contains minutes of recent meetings, and the agendas for future meetings:
The Print Circle exhibits as a group at least once a year. In September of 2006 we exhibited at the Lion Gate Lodge in Sydney’s Botanical Gardens. The exhibition was titled “Pressed on Paper” and was timed to coincide with the Margaret Preston exhibition taking place across the road at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. The theme of our show was botanical, to complement the AGNSW exhibition, as Margaret Preston is most famous for her woodblock prints of botanical subjects.
In 2007 we will be holding an exhibition titled “Polarities in Print” at the Mosman Art Gallery, New South Wales. This coincides with 2007 being the scientific year of Polar exploration. The exhibition dates are 1 June – 8 July 2007. For more information on the exhibition, please see the Mosman Gallery website.
