Studied at East Sydney Technical College for 5 years, graduating with a Diploma in Art in 1948.

From 1949 to 1953, travelled in Europe and lived and worked in London and Calcutta, India, as artist and art director for an advertising agency. Returned to Australia in 1954 and continued work in the advertising field in Sydney and Melbourne.

Between the years 1957 and 1988 various events included: marriage; children; travel to Europe, the UK and US; painting and drawing; work, which including a period with Hanna Barbera in Sydney, making animated films.

The high point of 1988 was retirement from the workforce. This allowed time to study ancient history and for protracted painting travels to Egypt, Greece, Turkey and the Middle East.

In 1991 discovered lithography.

A year’s study of printmaking in 1994 at East Sydney Technical College, (renamed the National Art School), further broadened the printmaking experience.

Joined the Print Circle in 2001.
