Jan is represented in private collections both in Australia & New Zealand.

Artists Statement.

During Teacher Training in New Zealand Jan designed theatre sets for college and local productions. Initially a watercolour or mixed media painter, printmaking is now her preferred medium

Jan has travelled extensively in Australia, and in her current series of works the inspiration comes from the vibrant colours, the patterns and textures, and the mystical spirit of the Australian landscape. When working, the aim is to create and interpret, to reflect an ‘atmosphere or mood ’, not to copy or imitate too closely,

To achieve this she uses the skills and techniques of traditional printmaking to pursue and discover the potential of alternative or contemporary printmaking.

She produces images with multiple printed layers of colour, line, texture, tone and form, using mainly collographs, but incorporating monotypes, dry point and masking and etching plates
