Artist’s Statement: These works are part of an ongoing project concerned with aspects of every day life as I see it. Titled “coming and going” they reflect my interest in issues of relationships, our communication, our emotional responses and investments in these. Living and dying. Essentially, what it means to me to be human. The printing process is central to these works either as the primary technique or as a springboard for other media. I rely heavily on the vivid coloured inks and the wide variations of mark making that is inherent to print making, to contribute to each work’s story.
