Born and educated in Sydney, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Italian from Sydney University. Prue began studying art at the Workshop Arts Centre in 1980 and was introduced to etching there, to which she was instantly addicted. She went on to an Associated Diploma of Fine Arts at Hornsby TAFE and subsequently a Post-Technician’s Certificate in Printmaking and an Advanced Creative Certificate in Printmaking. She is a member of the Print Circle and the Sydney Printmakers. Prue works mainly in etching but also has a passion for photography, drawing and sculpture. Her images reflect an interest in man-made objects, the human body and in creating mystery from the mundane. She has held solo exhibitions and been involved in many group exhibitions.
