Secretary's Report – March 2007

2007 has been a year of preparation for The Print Circle. We have held 4 meetings as a group throughout the year, 2 more have been held by the committee with Mosman Art Gallery Personnel and a number more have been held by the Mosman Collaborative Artists both with and without Mosman. 

Many important decisions were made by the committee during the course of the year.  We have rejuvenated our ranks by electing four new members – Jan, Carol, Deborah in June and Pamela in November. 

At a meeting in November a discussion was held regarding approaches to regional galleries and the title “Of the Land” chosen. A paper has been prepared by Deborah Wilkinson.

Following the last AGM it was suggested that it would be good for The Print Circle to have its own Website. In subsequent meetings this was investigated, voted on etc and finally a Website was brought online – all be it with an American address – before the end of the calendar year. Our website address is theprintcircle.com. At the November meeting it was agreed that The Print Circle should acquire an ABN number in order to have an Australian web address.

Unfortunately, we were not able to find another suitable regional or commercial gallery to exhibit in this year and this may indicate that it is time the Print Circle created a sub-committee to deal with this in the future.

I would like to thank The Print Circle members and committee for their support during the year and wish the new committee well. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as Secretary in 2007.
