This was not a full meeting, only a brief one to celebrate Christmas together and to cover two further matters that needed to be dealt with formally.
Motion to Apply for an ABN.
A vote was taken by the members on whether the Print Circle should apply for an ABN. Having an ABN allows the group to apply for an Australian website address. The cost was discussed briefly but the secretary stated that the cost was not very high. A vote was taken and including the Proxy votes from Christina Cordero, Edith Cowlishaw and Prue Crabbe, the vote was unanimous in favour.
New Membership Application.
The artwork and biography of Pamela Vaughan were put before the meeting and the members were asked to vote on whether or not it would be appropriate to invite Pamela to become a member of the Print Circle. A vote was taken and – including the above-mentioned proxy votes – the vote was unanimous in favour of inviting Pamela to become a member.
The meeting closed at 12.30 am. No meeting date was fixed.
Joanne Gwatkin-Williams (Hon Sec)
I hope that you all had a happy and restful Summer break and that you have all returned to your artwork refreshed!
Incidentally, Janette Hanrahan has suggested we take a look at Aquarelle Gallery, with a view to renting it in 2007/8. The Gallery is in 90 Alexander St, Crows Nest, and seems to be an attractive gallery in a good spot. The Director is Simon Carver and the cost of hiring it for a fortnight would be around $3,000. Those of you in the area should take a look and let us know what you think – we will probably discuss it at the next meeting which will be in February some time. Which reminds me, images will need to be finalized for the Mosman exhibition brochure by end Feb/early March.
