Welcome to the Web Site of the Print Circle.
The Print Circle is a small group of thirty women printmakers who practice their art in and around the region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The main aim of the Circle’s members is to produce experimental, quality art work through the medium, chiefly, of prints. Every member has the experience and skill to produce limited edition prints, most of us in many different types of print media, although as a result of our experimental outlook it is no longer an absolute requirement of our output, nor is it necessarily required of the exhibited works. Many members enjoy making monoprints and consider them to be of at least equal value to our editioned works.
The Print Circle considers its ‘home’ to be at the Workshop Arts Centre in Willoughby for this was where the group first came together and it has remained the place at which we most regularly meet, either working together in the print room there, or more formally for our meetings.
